Council Hires Planner for Tot Lot at Park
The City Council has hired an architect to create plans for a tot lot, walking trails and picnic grounds at Creekside Park.
Council members approved a $44,000 contract for design and engineering services from Ann Cristoph Landscape Architect.
City officials expect to consider final plans for the 9-acre Stonehill Drive park by May 26. Nearby residents have pushed to see the park built for a number of years.
Under an earlier contract, the design firm was asked to create a more intensive plan for the park, including a senior center. But a new council majority overturned that proposal, seeking less development.
