UCI Medical Center to Open New Clinic
A grand opening for UCI Medical Center’s gastrointestinal outpatient center is scheduled April 23 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the center.
The Interventional Endoscopy Center is equipped with state-of-the-art technology for the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases.
Procedures offered at the center include endoscopic ultrasound with fine needle aspiration, developed by Dr. Kenneth Chang, head of gastrointestinal oncology. The procedure allows doctors to visualize and take biopsies of tumors without performing surgery.
