Datum Inc.: The Irvine manufacturer of timing products posted a net loss of $812,000, or 15 cents a share, for the first quarter, compared with a profit of $1.2 million, or 26 cents a share, for the comparable period last year. Sales declined 11% to $25.4 million from $28.7 million.
