Linda McCartney
Perhaps the media and law enforcement could relax their zeal for a story and allow the McCartney family some peace in their grief (“Authorities Probe Death of McCartney,” April 23). Is it any wonder they chose not to disclose the place of death? Wouldn’t it be wonderful if all this energy and money spent on this investigation could be spent on breast cancer research?

The animal kingdom has lost a good friend and wonderful supporter. Linda McCartney’s work defending animals has left a tremendous impact. She used her celebrity standing to bring about the knowledge of their plight, raise money for their cause, and made it fashionable to fight against the wearing of fur.
Let us all truly honor Linda by picking up the fight and continuing the battle to educate the ignorant, prosecute the offenders and make this Earth a truly beautiful place for all creatures to live on. Bless you Linda, your dedication to life (all life) will be very missed. There are tears in the eyes of all the voiceless creatures tonight!
