Subsidies Approved for Senior Housing
About $2.1 million to subsidize a senior housing project has been approved by the City Council.
The subsidies will back construction of Heritage Villas, a 143-unit apartment complex near Oso Parkway and Country Club Drive. Funding comes from sources from city redevelopment tax revenue to federal housing grants.
All of the units would be reserved for seniors 55 and older with low or very low incomes.
The 4.64-acre site is owned by Heritage Partners Limited Partnership.
