War Against Smut Shutters 3 Businesses

Just days after the U.S. Supreme Court allowed New York Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani to crack down on X-rated businesses, the city has raided and padlocked three strip clubs. On Tuesday, the Supreme Court refused to issue an emergency order postponing enforcement while the zoning rules are appealed. The regulations ban sex-oriented businesses from operating within 500 feet of homes, churches, schools, day-care centers or one another.
