From Times Wire Reports

The suspect in the shooting deaths of two U.S. Capitol police officers had more surgery, and a judge refused to let his family visit him at D.C. General Hospital. Doctors operated on Russell Eugene Weston Jr.’s broken left leg, and officials estimate it may be a month before Weston, 41, will be well enough to appear in court. Weston’s parents have said their son’s mental health has been declining for 20 years and that he has a deep mistrust of the federal government.
