Re “Absolution Means Having to Say You’re Sorry,” Commentary, Aug. 21: Gerald Uelmen helpfully suggests that President Clinton should submit to the ‘90s equivalent of flogging. It is always time well spent when one can receive counseling on morality from members of the legal profession, who are, after all, famous for their superior grasp of the issues of public morality, forgiveness and personal ethics. Would that be the same Gerald Uelmen who defended O.J. Simpson?
