Teenage Boy Dies in Hospital Fire
From Times Wire Reports
A spark from a defibrillator ignited a fire at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, killing a 14-year-old boy who was being treated for a gunshot wound. Doctors were trying to revive the teen with the defibrillator when a spark apparently caused a supply of oxygen nearby to explode, Chicago Police Department spokeswoman Nancy Gorman said. The fire was confined to one room, and hospital employees were able to put out the flames and remove four other young patients from the area.
