VILLA PARK

For about 20 years, it has been a holiday tradition of Villa Park Women’s League to make Christmas a little brighter for needy and deserving children throughout Orange County.

A “Giving Tree” decorated with the names and ages of 400 children from four charitable organizations that offer housing, counseling and therapy for families in need has been set up at Villa Park Pharmacy. People are invited to take a name and buy a gift for the child. Gift suggestions are included with the name of each child.

“People are very giving,” said Beth Collins, league publicity chairwoman. “In past years, we’ve run out of names and we’ve had to get more. It’s very well received.”

Wrapped gifts should be returned to the pharmacy, located in the shopping center at Santiago Boulevard, by Dec. 11. Information: (714) 771-6329.
