Tree-Lighting Aids Hospice Program

Share

The county’s oldest and largest nonprofit home health care agency is marking the holiday season with a memory tree at the Buenaventura Mall.

The Livingston Memorial Visiting Nurses Assn. will conduct a lighting ceremony at 7 p.m. Monday for the “Light Up a Life” memory tree, project coordinator Maddy Hazard said.

The tree will be on display through December, and people who want to donate by purchasing a star can go to the mall any time. They do not have to attend the lighting ceremony, Hazard said.

Livingston Memorial is a home health care and hospice agency that has been serving county residents since 1947. Services are provided to anyone needing help, regardless of ability to pay.

“Light Up a Life” is an annual fund-raising event that benefits the association’s programs and the hospice program, which is the only nonprofit Medicare-certified hospice in the county.
