Beijing Gains Control of 68 Army Holdings

The military has handed over 68 enterprises in Beijing to the city government as part of a Communist Party order, the Beijing Daily reported. The army transferred the enterprises, with assets totaling $170 million, on Friday, the paper said. It said the businesses covered real estate, pharmaceuticals, trade and transportation.
