* Brookhurst Road: Report of an assault in the 400 block at 3:51 a.m. Tuesday; female suspect is in custody.

GARDEN GROVE

* Gilbert and Chapman Avenue: Police arrested a 31-year-old Midway City resident on suspicion of stealing a motorcycle at 8:30 a.m. Dec. 19 after a license check revealed the motorcycle had been reported stolen from a resident in Santa Ana. During the arrest, police also found methamphetamine and scales.
