COSTA MESA
Residents’ discarded Christmas trees may have a second life as mulch for parks and street medians, thanks to a tree-grinding service offered by the city and the Costa Mesa Sanitary District.
Trees may be placed on the curb by 6:30 a.m. on regular trash pickup days, and trash haulers will remove them. The service will be available until Jan. 8. Information: (714) 754-5600.
