The City Council voted recently to uphold a conditional use permit for a day-care center/preschool at McFadden Avenue and Ward Street. Residents who live nearby had filed an appeal to the city’s Planning Commission requesting that the owner of the center limit the number of children who will be on the site. About 40 children currently attend the day-care center.
