Wake-Up Blast

The basis for this flavorful low-fat breakfast drink is a vanilla-flavored milk-like soy beverage made from cooked soybeans, filtered water, honey and vanilla. You’ll find it in most supermarkets and health food stores and some Asian markets. It’s a great product to use in smoothies and also tastes good poured over cereal.

The scoop of frozen nonfat yogurt chills the drink, but for a really ice-cold beverage, freeze the banana before blending it with the other ingredients. Serve the drink right away while it’s cold and the colors are bright; it will turn brown if left standing.
