Alan Brett Holland Murder Case

Share

Re “Sides Sum Up in Penalty Phase of Killer’s Trial,” Feb. 4.

The picture of Alan Brett Holland that accompanied this article is the face of a murdering sociopath who deserves to be put to death as much as Mildred Wilson deserved to live.

I thought I had heard every pathetic, nauseating excuse invented for heinous crimes until I read the response voiced by defense attorney Willard Wiksell: His client deserves to live because of brain damage suffered while bathing his dog in toxic flea chemicals at age 11.

Just how stupid do you think we are? That being the case, Mr. Wiksell, all the dog groomers and pet owners who attempted to rid their pets of fleas over the last 20 years have apparently also been killing brain cells and, in fact, are potential cold-blooded, unremorseful murderers such as your client. I think not.

Further, your attempt to save the life of and make pitiful excuses for a predator who deliberately gunned down an innocent woman in the middle of the day only validates why decent-thinking citizens have such a low opinion of certain aspects of our judicial system and those who operate within that system.
