For three years, O.J. Simpson was the curiosity in Brentwood. On Monday, he was the curiosity seeker.

Simpson drove up to the home owned by Dr. Bernard Lewinsky about 12:30 p.m., smiled for the cameras gathered on the corner and asked one of the cameramen: “Is that the Lewinsky house?”

Monica S. Lewinsky has been staying at her father’s home after her reported claims of a sexual relationship with President Clinton opened the floodgates of publicity in Washington.

But the media and publicity furor followed her here.

In front of the house, Simpson’s son, Justin, jumped out of the black sports utility vehicle and fetched a friend two doors down. The boys returned about a minute later and Simpson drove off.

Two years ago, Simpson was acquitted of murdering his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman, outside her condominium just blocks from the Lewinsky house.
