Red-Hot Goyette Helps Canada Win Again

Danielle Goyette, Canada’s top scorer, had two goals in a 5-3 victory over Sweden.

Goyette stole the puck on a faceoff midway through the first period, raced in and deked goalie Charlotte Goethesson out of her net, then shot the puck in the open side.

She put Canada up, 5-2, in the third period on a pass from Hayley Wickenheiser, who rushed the puck through the Swedish zone and fed Goyette in front of the crease.

Canada’s record improved to 3-0; Sweden is now 0-3.
