In other men’s games:

Riverside 94, Fullerton 89--Fullerton turned the ball over trailing by three with seven seconds left and Riverside’s Brian Hooks made two free throws to clinch the victory. Fullerton is 19-8, 7-4. Riverside is 20-11, 6-5.

Cypress 74, Irvine Valley 69--Frankie Floyd had 19 points as host Cypress (14-14, 5-6) beat Irvine Valley for the second consecutive time. It was also the third loss in a row for Irvine Valley (18-10, 6-5).

In Orange Empire conference women’s basketball:

Fullerton 56, Riverside 49--Paola Flores scored 19 points and had 11 rebounds for first-place Fullerton (23-7, 9-2). Angie Baca had 12 points and Lauren Murphy had 11 points for the Hornets, who hold a one-game lead over Irvine Valley and Orange Coast.

Irvine Valley 55, Cypress 52--Leading by one point with 17 seconds remaining, Irvine Valley’s Phouangmaly Pravangvienkham made a jump shot to put the Lasers (20-6, 8-3) ahead by three.

Orange Coast 62, Golden West 57--Orange Coast (20-9, 8-3) claimed its 20th victory for the sixth consecutive season. Shauna Steward made a three-pointer with 27 seconds left to cut Orange Coast’s lead to three, but that was as close as the Rustlers (6-20, 1-10) would come. Becky Fraser had 24 points and 23 rebounds for Golden West.

Santa Ana 71, Saddleback 59-- Shanna Renken scored 18 of her game-high 25 points in the first half as the Dons defeated Saddleback (7-19, 1-10). Rochelle Anthony scored 18 and had eight rebounds and Fiaavae Tipoti collected 12 for Santa Ana (18-18, 7-4).
