At the age of 7, Brendan Doran told his parents he was going to be in the Olympic Games one day.
At 11, he presented them with an ultimatum--leave home in California for the ski slopes of Colorado or he’d find some other parents.
At 18, Doran, with his parents watching, is fulfilling his own prophecy as a member of the U.S. ski jumping team at Nagano.
To support their son, Peter and Cindy Doran hold down six jobs between them at home in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. “It’s just to keep the boat afloat,” says Peter Doran.
