Global Warming

It seems incongruous that the media devote themselves almost exclusively to an exploration of the president’s sex life when the story that could make the Hollywood Hills a waterfront goes unnoticed. Did anyone notice the recent story that a chunk of ice the size of the Island of Oahu broke off from Antarctica and that another the size of Hawaii is expected to break off soon?

At this rate of global warming we can expect the ocean’s level and temperature to increase substantially. What would real estate values in Long Beach, Newport Beach or Santa Monica be if the sea level rose 20 feet? Doesn’t this issue have greater news value than the president’s unproved peccadillo?
