ORANGE COUNTY EARNINGS
Trimedyne Inc.: The Irvine maker of medical lasers reported a net loss of $1.1 million, or 10 cents a share, for the first fiscal quarter, ended Dec. 31, which included charges of $657,000 related to start-up and research and development costs for its Cardiodyne unit. A year earlier, the company lost $924,000, or 8 cents a share. Revenue declined 5% to $2.1 million from $2.2 million.
