Roger Barkley

Re “Broadcaster Roger Barkley Dies,” Dec. 23: Roger Barkley and Al Lohman provided us with morning drive comedy that was great. The daily activities of Maynard Farmer, Ted J. Baloney, his wife W. and the rest of the cast was so funny it was repeated by most of us attending meetings.

The annual coverage of the Odebolt 500 was always very funny.

Maynard was my favorite member of the staff, but I will always remember Roger’s response when Ted complained, “Shut up, Ted.”

It was a pleasure listening to them, and I shall always remember Roger’s laugh.
