Cypress 73, Golden West 63--Cypress, leading by one, went on a 9-0 run at the start of the second half and held on for the victory. Frankie Floyd, who had six of those nine points, scored 19 points and had nine rebounds for the Chargers (10-10, 1-2).

Cypress’ Chris Killens was eight for eight from the free-throw line and scored 15 points.

Todd Jones had 23 points for Golden West (5-15, 0-3).

Saddleback 83, Orange Coast 71--Vernon Jackson scored 29 points and had eight rebounds in a victory for Saddleback. Teammate Marshall Freeman scored 20 points and had 13 rebounds for the Gauchos (9-10, 1-2).

Shaun Jackson scored 22 points and had 12 rebounds for Orange Coast (12-7, 1-2).

Santa Ana 90, Riverside 86--Santa Ana made 32 of 35 from the free-throw line in its victory. The Dons trailed, 30-27, at the half, then scored 63 in the second half. Khary Walker led Santa Ana (10-9, 2-1) with 23 points and hit seven of seven free throws. Lohnnie Tape and Mark Saukkola each scored 19 points. Tape also grabbed 11 rebounds. Danny Sampson scored 35 points and had 12 rebounds for Riverside (16-7, 2-1).
