Living Life to the Fullest

Share

* Thank you for the excellently written Jan. 10 article “Hope’s High Cost,” about Marianne Whitmyer’s efforts to raise money to battle Huntington’s disease.

I met Marianne two years ago when we were partner teachers for UCI’s summer program, Young Writers. During our initial planning stages, I realized I had met a very special person. Not only was she a musical genius, but a creative soul. Our ideas merged, and we had a fantastic time teaching fourth through sixth graders. She was always positive and complimentary to everyone.

With all the tragic accidents we have read about and all the sad events that occur because of someone without scruples, here is a great person that can live with our help.

I want Marianne to continue making beautiful music with her flute, helping children learn and living life to the fullest.
