Shimon Peres to Speak at Temple

Shimon Peres, former prime minister of Israel and winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, will speak Feb. 22 at Temple Bat Yahm in Newport Beach about contemporary Israeli politics and his recently released memoirs.
Admission is $18; $12 for students and seniors.
“This is a historic opportunity for us and for our children,” Rabbi Mark S. Miller of Bat Yahm said. Peres “is one of the last links to the leadership period of the founders of modern Israel. He has been directly involved in every major development, every war, every peace effort in Israel’s modern history.”
