Loss for StarBase

StarBase Corp., the Irvine computer products company, reported a fourth quarter net loss of $1.8 million, or 17 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $1.9 million, or 15 cents a share, a year ago. Revenue for the quarter ended March 31 rose to $778,000 from $273,000.

For the year, the company posted a net loss of $7 million, or 70 cents a share, compared with a year-earlier net loss of $5.7 million, or 62 cents a share. Revenue more than doubled to $2.1 million from $1 million. The prior-year figures were restated to comply with a Securities and Exchange Commission change in accounting for preferred stock that is convertible at a discount.
