“When it gets warm, I start drinking a lot of Sauvignon Blanc. I did a tasting a couple of weeks ago where I tasted a bunch of ‘97s. The one that I enjoyed the most was the Rochioli Estate. It shows what you can do with Sauvignon Blanc. It’s got a little bit of that gooseberry-herbal character and a little wild mint. It’s a very engaging wine that’s got all the right elements of Sauvignon Blanc. It’s varietal without being vegetal.”
