McVeigh Loses Bid to Delay Appeal Ruling

The U.S. 10th Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver refused to delay consideration of Timothy J. McVeigh’s appeal in the April 19, 1995, bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, ruling he waited too long before raising a question about leniency agreements for prosecution witnesses. McVeigh asked the judges to delay ruling on his appeal until they determined whether it was legal for prosecutors to offer leniency to criminal witnesses in exchange for testimony.
