ORANGE COUNTY EARNINGS

Odetics Inc.: The Anaheim supplier of communications equipment lost $5.5 million, or 76 cents a share, in the first quarter ended June 30. That compares with net income of $617,000, or 10 cents a share, for the same period last year, which included income from ATL Products Inc., spun off in October. Revenue declined 8% to $19.8 million from $21.5 million.
