Steven Myers & Associates: The Newport Beach proposal-management company said second-quarter net income climbed to $2.5 million, or 16 cents a share, from $1.1 million, or 9 cents a share, in the 1997 second quarter. Revenue increased 59% to $13.5 million from $8.5 million. Net income for the six-month period was $4.2 million, or 28 cents a share, 91% higher than the $2.2 million, or 17 cents a share, for the same six-month period in 1997. Revenue was up 53% to $24.1 million from $15.8 million.
