The Federal Trade Commission has requested additional information in connection with the proposed sale of American Shared Hospital Services’ medical diagnostic imaging assets to an affiliate of Anaheim-based Alliance Imaging Inc., the companies said Monday.
American, a medical services company based in San Francisco, said it still expects the transaction to be completed in the third quarter.
In March, American Shared signed an agreement to sell its medical diagnostic imaging assets to Alliance Imaging for $13.6 million in cash and the assumption of $26.1 million in debt.
Alliance Imaging provides diagnostic services to hospitals and other health-care providers.
