First American, Alaska Firm Merge

First American Title Co. of Alaska, a unit of Santa Ana-based First American Financial Corp., merged with TransAlaska Summit Title, a title company based in Anchorage. Financial terms weren’t disclosed.

First American Financial said the merged company will operate under the name First American Title of Alaska.

First American Financial provides real estate-related financial and information services.
