* GapKids, a children’s clothing chain operated by San Francisco-based Gap Inc., said it is recalling thousands of its popular spring and summer anoraks because paint on their zippers contains a high level of lead. GapKids said it was not aware of any injuries involving the nylon pullover jackets and that exposure to the zippers would not present any immediate health danger. Even so, the company, in cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission, announced the recall of about 128,700 anoraks to prevent any poisoning from lead.
