Record for Data Processing Resources

Data Processing Resources Corp., a Newport Beach provider of information technology staffing services, reported record net income and revenue for the third fiscal quarter ended April 30.

Profit increased 53% to $2.9 million, or 25 cents a share, from $1.9 million, or 18 cents a share, a year earlier. Revenue was up 79% to $56.1 million from $31.4 million.

For the nine-month period, net income totaled $7.9 million, or 68 cents a share, 80% higher than the $4.4 million, or 50 cents a share, posted for the comparable nine-month period a year ago. Revenue advanced 94% to $146 million from $75.3 million.
