Golden West Honors Outstanding Student

Christy Fox of Westminster has been awarded Golden West College’s most prestigious annual award, the R. Dudley Boyce Outstanding Student Award.

The award, named for the college’s founder, was presented to Fox at a ceremony last month. Fox, who graduated from Fountain Valley High School in 1993 and has worked as a volunteer English teacher, will attend UCLA in the fall.

Golden West English professor Charles Whitchurch called Fox “a natural leader, a practical visionary, a gifted person who gives freely of her talents.”
