Crime Victims
Todd Franklin of La Crescenta writes a condemnation of Joel Wachs’ efforts, along with a Sparkletts truck driver, to chase a hoodlum down after smashing his windows: “Once again, Wachs puts his own interests first . . . shouldn’t public safety come first, Mr. Wachs?” (“Wachs and Public Safety,” May 31)
I was victimized in a police-recognized scam in Studio City. My car tire was slashed and money and personal items were stolen during an attempt by the perpetrator to “assist” me during the incident. I only wish Wachs and that Sparkletts man were on hand to help me run down the thief.
