Death Penalty
Re “Ruling Backs State on Death Penalty Cases,” May 27: At last a bit of common sense comes out of our criminal justice system. The Supreme Court decision allowing California capital appeals to be put on a fast track may limit the ridiculous process to a few years rather than forever.
This is the second time recently that the Supreme Court has overturned 9-0 a very liberal decision by a local federal court. Just being overruled is bad enough, but two 9-0 reversals from our “can’t ever agree on anything” Supreme Court! Any lower court judge who is that far out is obviously totally biased and should be fired.
