Violence in Films

Share

While I find it encouraging that 180 people in the Hollywood film industry are willing to sign an ad calling for an end to violence in films (“Between Jonesboro and Springfield,” Al Martinez, June 2), I can’t help wondering how many of those 180 are currently profiting from their previous involvement in films depicting gratuitous violence. Until they make good on their resolution, my ticket money will continue to go to the original, thoughtful and socially responsible foreign films that come our way.
