Ruth V. Barnes; Longtime County Resident
Ruth V. Barnes, a homemaker, died Monday at a Ventura hospital. She was 80.
Barnes, who was born in Grand Rapids, Mich., lived in Ventura County for the past 46 years.
She loved cats and was an animal rights activist.
She is survived by sons Dan H. Barnes of El Sobrante in Northern California, Bill H. Barnes of Ventura, and two granddaughters, who also live in Ventura.
Private services will be held at Ivy Lawn in Ventura.
Ted Mayr Funeral Home in Ventura will make the arrangements.
