Hazardous Waste Collection Planned
Anyone who is unsure about how to dispose of hazardous waste such as unused cleaning, pesticide or paint products may want to take advantage of a free household hazardous waste collection day June 20.
The city of Moorpark and the Ventura County Waste Management Department are cooperating on a program to accept hazardous waste that day in Moorpark. Residents from Fillmore, Moorpark, Ojai, Port Hueneme, Santa Paula, Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, Ventura and unincorporated Ventura County may participate.
An appointment is necessary for all residents. Each household may drop off up to 125 pounds or 15 gallons of material to the collection site in Moorpark after making an appointment. Call 529-6864, Ext. 333.
Residents of Camarillo and Oxnard should call their city recycling coordinators for information on their cities’ monthly collection programs.
