2-Month Plan OKd for Arms Inspection

Baghdad agreed to a two-month program with United Nations arms experts aimed at speeding up final verification that it has scrapped its weapons of mass destruction. Richard Butler, U.N. chief weapons inspector, made the announcement after more than three hours of talks with Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Tarik Aziz. Impatient for the work to be completed so that it can push for an end to economic sanctions, Iraq has accused the inspectors of willfully extending their work to prolong Iraqi suffering.
