The city of Toulouse is bracing for culture shock, among other things, when England and its roving band of, er, fans, roll into town for Monday’s Group G game with Romania.

Last Sunday, Toulouse hosted Japan and Argentina, which was highlighted by the impeccable behavior of the Japanese supporters, also known as the anti-hooligans. Afterward, the Japanese fans actually cleaned up the bleachers where they had been sitting, scooped up confetti, put it neatly into plastic bags and bowed to the stewards on the way out of the stadium.
