Bishops Vow to Fight Media Sex, Violence

The nation’s Roman Catholic bishops vowed to increase their role in fighting media sex and violence and urged the entertainment industry to curb graphic portrayals. The National Conference of Catholic Bishops said at its conference in Pittsburgh that sex and violence can be appropriate viewing for adults “in a moral context,” but parents are urged to have the backbone to control what their children view.
