City to Host Its 1st Resource Fair

Share

For many, city government is nothing more than a confusing maze of stubborn bureaucracies.

Hoping to change that perception, Moorpark will host its first Resource Fair to give residents an opportunity to learn more about local government.

Beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Flory Elementary School parking lot on Flory Avenue, city departments and community organizations will be on hand to teach residents more about the services available to them.

In addition to the Police Department and park district, personnel from the city’s public works and code enforcement departments will be on hand to provide information on what to do about nuisance pets and unmowed grass.

Police Department bomb squad members will also attend, along with their robot, as will officers involved in the city’s Drug Abuse Resistance Education program.

Information on other topics, such as tenants’ rights and how to dispose of that old bottle of muriatic acid, will also be available.

For information, call 529-6864, Ext. 217.
