Advocates Sought to Aid Abused Kids
The Court Appointed Special Advocates program is seeking volunteers to serve as advocates in court for abused children.
Advocates maintain a weekly one-on-one relationship with an abused, abandoned or neglected child for about three hours a week for two years. The advocates then provide information to the court to facilitate permanent placement for the children, who are dependents of the court.
Orientations for prospective advocates are held the first Tuesday evening and first Saturday morning of each month.
