Chosen Bride Makes Wedding Official

A bride picked by committee has formally married the man whose friends chose her. “It’s been great. Beth and I are very, very happy together,” said David Weinlick, 28, of his bride, the former Elizabeth Runze, also 28. The bride was chosen for him from among 25 women at a reception he and his friends arranged June 13 at the Mall of America in Bloomington. Weinlick had said he was tired of people asking him when he was going to get married so he set the date and asked a committee of his friends and family to pick a bride.
