Free Workshop on Home Improvement

The League of California Homeowners will sponsor a free home improvement workshop from 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Olympic Collection, 11301 W. Olympic Blvd., West Los Angeles.

Among the speakers will be Jan Silverman of the Contractors State License Board, who will discuss contractor hiring, how to avoid pitfalls and what to do if something goes wrong.
