Police Attacked in Restive Province

Serbian police came under fire twice in the center of Pristina, capital of troubled Kosovo province. No casualties were reported, but the attacks kept tensions high after a weekend of violence in Kosovo in which about 30 people died, almost all of them ethnic Albanians. The attacks came hours after the clandestine Kosovo Liberation Army swore revenge against Serbian authorities for the weekend killings.
